Trekking Santo Antão

Arrival at São Vicente airport. Reception and transfer to Mindelo. Installation in room in the city center. The guide is responsible for organizing your dinner at a local restaurant with Cape Verdean music (meals at your expense) ´.

DAY 2- São Vicente ISLAND TOUR BY CAR

• Discovery São Vicente with its magnificent beaches and volcanoes;

• Visit Monte Verde, the highest point of the island;

• Lunch in a typical restaurant (not included) in Baía das Gatas with his natural swimming pool suitable for swimming;

• Visit the beach of Salamansa / fishing village

• Visit of Mindelo with its places of interest

DAY 2 AND 3- SANTO ANTAO ISLAND TREKKING

Morning transfer to the port, direction Santo Antão. Boat (1 hour crossing) to Porto Novo. Visit of Tarrafal and hike to Monte Trigo (3h30 walk. Elevation +:350 m // Elevation -: 350 m).

The two villages of fishermen and the farmers built along a black sand beach and bordered by sugar cane fields on the arid side of the island.

DAYS 4 TO 7- TREKKING IN THE GREEN VALLEYS

4 days of hiking in the very green and more famous valleys of Santo Antao. Of the different routes allow you to descend into the village of Aguada, a spectacular with its large cane and banana plantations. (4h30 walk /

Elevation +: 100m / Elevation -: 1000m), night with a family in the village.

The valley of Ribeira da Torre, undoubtedly one of the most spectacular of the island, (6 h / +1400

m / -1500 m).

The Coastal Path – Cruzinha – Fontainhas – Ponta de Sol- A coastal path that passes by the abandoned village of Zaranhas, the green valley of Corvo then finally the village perched and colorful of Fontainhas before reaching Ponta do Sol, the old flowered port of the island, for a night by the sea.
