This is an immersive journey through the heart of Buenos Aires, revealing the city’s lost connection with its river.

Our meeting point is Plaza de Mayo, a historic landmark overlooking the widest river in the world, where Buenos Aires was founded 445 years ago. Have you ever heard the saying “Buenos Aires turns its back on the river”? As we explore the city's urban and architectural evolution, we’ll uncover how and why Buenos Aires lost its coastline. But more importantly, we’ll ask: Can we rebuild our bond with the ecosystem we belong to? The transformation of this city reflects the history of all the nations within the Río de la Plata basin.

Our second stop is a unique soundscape experience near the CCK (Palacio Libertad), one of Buenos Aires’ most stunning cultural landmarks. Here, we will listen beyond what the human ear perceives—using specialized microphones, we’ll capture the hidden rivers still flowing beneath our streets and even sense the electromagnetic fields surrounding us. This exercise in deep listening will help us rediscover the sounds of Buenos Aires in an entirely new way.

Our third and final stop takes us to Buenos Aires’ most beautiful natural sanctuary: the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve in Puerto Madero. Located in the city’s youngest neighborhood—once a port, now a skyline of skyscrapers—this nature reserve is home to the richest biodiversity in the metropolitan area. As we walk through its trails, surrounded by native grasslands and peaceful lagoons, we will finally meet the river that gave life to this city. Perhaps, by listening to the voices of the birds that live here, we will uncover a deeper wisdom—one that can guide us in restoring our dialogue with nature.
