The True Bedouin Experience
The Wahiba Sands are a series of dunes runing in a north-south direction. The dunes are fairly uniform in height, at 100m fom trough to peak, and the area measures about 180km from north to south, and approximately 80km from west to east. The dubes are varying in colour from terracota red to golden to white.
Two hours driving will take us from Muscat to Wadi bani Khalid. There are plenty of warm pools for swimming here and a short cave system to explore - all in spectacular setting. Relax by the pool and have your cup of coffee before leaving toward to Wahiba sands.
We take some adventurous dune driving and visit to the Bedouin house. Today you have a great opportunity to have lunch together with the bedouin family in the middle of the world famous sands.
