Wahiba Sands - Mahout – Barr Al Hikkman

After breakfast you will visit a Bedouin House in Wahiba Sands to see the traditional way these nomadic people have lived for centuries.

You will then continue your journey to Mahout in the central region of Oman where we will stop at a petrol station to use the toilets. This will be the last toilet stop before wild camping for 2 nights.

We will then make the off-road trip to Barr Al Hikkman which is located in Al-Wusta Governorate on the southeast coast of Oman, 500 km south of Muscat. Barr Al Hikkman is considered one of the most important bird migration areas in Oman and Southeast Asia. In addition to being a shrine for birds and fish of all kinds the presence of coral reefs off its shores makes Barr Al Hikkman a favourite destination for divers.

The fertile and pristine area consists of plains, flat surfaces and muddy lands that are covered by sea water at high tide.

We will camp in Barr A Hikkman for 2 nights. All camping equipment will be provided.

Overnight: 2 nights camping in Bar Al Hikkman
